Urobilīn, rotbrauner Farbstoff, verursacht die braune Farbe des menschlichen Darminhalts, findet sich im Harn, bes. reichlich bei Fieber, wird nachgewiesen durch sein Spektrum und die grüne Fluoreszenz seiner ammoniakalischen Lösung bei Zusatz von Chlorzink.
